Project Over Win is Color Of Change’s 2026 electoral and civic engagement initiative designed to build durable Black political power across the South and Midwest.
It’s time to stop playing by their rules.
It’s time to stop accepting their terms.
It’s time to vote for new ones.
It’s time the system worked for us.
The 2026 electoral environment presents extraordinary opportunities. Black voters in Georgia, Michigan, Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, and North Carolina will shape how we defend the integrity of our elections, enforce civil rights protections, oversee criminal justice systems, and determine the future of our shared American democracy.
Project Over Win is rooted in the belief that Black communities are not disengaged from democracy because they do not care about political outcomes, but because they have been systematically underinvested in, communicated with in transactional terms, and excluded from meaningful long-term political infrastructure. Through sustained organizing, trusted digital engagement, voter mobilization, and long-term civic infrastructure investment, Project Over Win will build permanent organizing infrastructure that extends beyond the 2026 election cycle.
First thing’s first:
We’ve identified nearly 500,000 unregistered Black voters across the South – your neighbors, your block, your people, among the strongest prospects in the country to become lifelong voters for justice and equality.
Reaching them takes organizers. Doors. Phone calls. Follow-through.
Even $2 can help with this effort:
DONATE TODAY.
Stay connected. Get involved. Be engaged.
Help us defend our democracy.
